As a young man new to America, Tony started working as a bus boy at a 5 star hotel's restaurant in Minneapolis, Minnesota. From scrubbing bathroom toilets to bussing tables, he worked his way into the kitchen and learned how to cook.
After finding the love of his life, Tony married her and moved to California where he began working with his father-in-law, saving money obsessively because he had found another love, too. A love for the kitchen and the delicious, authentic Italian food he learned to cook. He knew he could develop his own delicious menu and his personal touches would set his food apart.
After saving up for years, Tony opened a tiny delivery spot in 1991 which he called Fratelli's Pizza. His delicous pizza concoctions and his love for his customers grew the business fast and it was soon time to relocate across the street to a bigger location! Tony created a dining room for the locals he had grown so close to over the years. The San Fernando Valley grew to love Fratelli’s pizzas, pastas, entrées, calzones, salads, and garlic bread! He carried out his dream while raising a family for two whole decades!
After being in business for 20 great years, lending his love for the kitchen to his children, we lost our beloved founder. He passed away far too soon. His son AK took over the business, carrying on his amazing father’s wisdom, vision and passion. Today, Fratelli’s is a gourmet dine-in, take-out, delivery, and catering restaurant! Family owned and operated for nearly 25 years, born in the heart of the Valley, with a newly remodeled dining room and local beers on tap. Tony would be so proud of what Fratelli's has become. His love for his family, his neighborhood, and his recipes will forever live on.
